Hi everyone. I just wanted to post to a general hello and quasi-intro. I haven't posted here much, but my regular screen name is the same as my LIWedding name and I'm just not ready to admit that we are trying to conceive to the few friends I made there.

In any case, I just wanted to let you ladies know how helpful it is to read your posts and I hope from now on I can benefit from your knowledge.

Here's where DH and I are at:
married long enough to know we are ready for kids, but we "say" we are waiting (career stuff). In reality, we aren't preventing, and we both would be thrilled if it "just happened". But, I've been off the pill for 4 months and I'm beginning to think it doesn't "just happen".

I'm charting, I know when to BD, and we do, and last month I was convinced that I was pregnant (was feeling soooo tired that I took naps for 4 days in a row at what I thought was about 10 DPO), but AF came right on schedule.

This month I'm 16DPO and no sign of AF, but I got a BFN this morning. And it makes me sad. But then again, I sort of wonder if maybe I might be despite the BFN. I don't think I have any real signs, but until AF shows up I just can't shake the feeling that maybe I am . . .




. . .btw are gas pains an early sign???

i know it is frustrating to wait and wonder. like i just said in my reply to Christy's post, it is a draining process and your always thinking about it and wondering if you are. the thing is you never know if you are until AF shows up or not! best wishes to you. oh and for me gas pains were definitely a symptom and continue to be 3 months later! if you never really had bad gas pains in the past it could be a sign too. good luck!

About the gas pains -- I have NEVER had these sorts of pains. And I wouldn't have even called them gas pains, but that's what DH says they are.

Mine are sharp pains right under my boobs, especially when I inhale.

What are your's like -- if you don't mind answering?

don't mind answering at all! mine were low maybe in the lower sides of my abdominals. i also did have shooting pains as you describe though in addition to that. i also remember a lot of pinchy and poking feelings in my lower abs and i thought that was gas too but today i am convinced that was the implanting or stretching of my uterus or whatever was going on in there! i truly wish you all the very best and tons of !
