HSG Today**Update**
I'm a bit scared. Any advice on what to expect? please be honest. Wish me luck.
I just got back from the HSG and my tubes are clear!!!!!!
As far as pain, it wasn't bad at all. I expected it to be much worse. It actually felt like cramps and it was quick. Thank you so much for your support.

Don't be scared at all.
I'm going to be completely honest here.
I was told to take Motrin 2 hours before an then 1 hour before. The same day DH was having SA, so I totally lost track of time and didn't do it. I ended up taking some Ibuprofen 30 minutes before.
Initially it was just like a pap. Put the speculum in, no big deal. Once the dye went it, I had a sharp, quick cramp and then I was told to turn from side to side so the dye would swish around and they could take pictures and then it was over. It took about 3 minutes and I only had the one sharp cramp. Nothing to worry about.

Just like Lauren said - don't worry! Not that bad at all. LisaW had told me to take Advil or Motrin an hour before and I did and felt almost nothing. It was definitely less painful than some IUI's I have had.

Mines was quick and painless. The waiting and anticipation of pain was the worst part but the pain never came. Good Luck!

My HSG was a breeze. Seriously, I couldn't believe it was over when the dr told me I could get up.
For me, the endo biopsy was the worst.

Glad to hear everthing went okay with you.
I thought it was a total breeze, just a little uncomfortable, but not painful. I also found out that my tubes are clear, too.

Thank you...i'm planning on doing my second IUI, i'm currently on day 4 of 100 mgs of clomid and I maybe be ovulating next weekend...however I will be away next weekend with DH so if I O then we would have to try naturally. I know with the IUI the chances are better but hopefully I O when I get back.
