IVF

So we are starting the process for IVF this week and I just wanted to know what to really expect. Can anyone share their experiences on the whole process? Thanks

everyone is different...i do 3 weeks bcp, then 2 weeks follistim (to make eggies) and some ganerilix (to prevent ovulation), then the hcg (triggers ovulation). two days later is the retrievfal under anesthesia - a bit groggy all day. then progesterone in oil ( in the butt) for the looong 2WW

some people do lupron instead of the bcp, but I don't know that protocol

every clinic is different and there are many different protocols that depend on your RE and your dx.

I have done the same as red and I also once did it with the lupron.

The first step is to have a consult with an RE.

What sort of questions do you have?
tiem frame? Emoptional issues? What it feels like?

Its hard to describe the entire thing in detail.

I am with the LIIVF group in PJ. I have my consult this week to start things rolling.

We are both at the same point Anonmom - I am going today for my consult in Melville. If you go back about three months or search some of the names on here (dm24angel, karacg, halisa) they are all PG through IVF and some of their protocol and/or what they went through is on here. It might give you a better idea.
