Ok, who lives in Patchogue?
I don't know much about Suffolk. Any information regarding the neighborhoods/school districts would be helpful.

there are good and bad areas- I would stay away from south country school district. I think Patchogue medford sd is ok.

Exactly. I don't think you can make any kind of judgements based on an isolated incident.

I live in Medford which is Patchogue-Medford SD and it is a good district. It's a very mixed area and if you look online the SD is higher than average with graduates, regents diplomas and students moving on to college.

I grew up in Patchogue-Medford. To be honest, I am not 100% sure about the school district anymore...since I graduated they have made a lot of changes including building the new high school. There are positives and negatives, as is with any school district. It is definetely not a bad area or bad school district by any means.

there isn't one currently but there have been talks of one in the past.

I agree. I would be a little leary about the district because they said it was a racial thing and the cops were there this morning. Bringing a gun to school and an on-going racial problem are 2 different things.
