i hated that movie - it not only made me question my entire wardrobe as well - it also made no sense in the end to me....
it needed more of a FINALE - imo

Agreed-- she needed to tell Miranda to F*CK off-- like in the book-- that's what made it so great. I mean, who doens't want to tell a boss you despise to go screw themselves?
Loved the movie though-- but I would say it was loosely based on the book.

i totally agree - I watched it last nite with FH and had to keep pausing it to tell him what really happened - im so mad they didnt use the Lilly storyline

yea, the end was a bit strange. Her BF gets a job in Boston and she applies for (and assumingly gets) her "dream job" in NYC 
I did not care for the ending. but overall it was certainly enjoyable and Meryl Streep can act like nobody's business!
ETA: just wanted to add that that phone call she made to Emily about taking the clothes from Paris off her hands was  . When that beyotch said "it's a huge inconvenience and they would drown me" I would have told her to go scratch!
