ttc and xrays?

I have just started the ttc process but also have a very bad cough... have had it for about 4 weeks now. I'm thinking its about time to get a chest xray done but worried since we just started ttc-ing. I was hoping it would just go away, but 10 days of antibiotics later, it's still lingering (not as bad though). Anyone ever have to go for one while ttc-ing? I read that there's a very small chance of harm, but it still worries me.

I broke my toe early in the TTC process and when I went to the Dr. I asked him about it and he said it's not a problem. Once you KNOW you are pg, then you aren't supposed to because by the time you find out, it's usually a fetus and if you were only a week or so pg it won't harm the "zygote".

i needed some xrays for a thyroid test, and there i had to sign a release that i wasn't PG. there was also a big sign in the testing room that if you think/know you are PG, let the technician know immediately.

Exactly what Mrsmck said. The Hsg is an xray, that you get done when ttc to see if your tubes are clear. You just need to be sure you are NOT pregnant. Find out the half life....if you are taking any sort of iodine etc for the xray.
