Any suggestions how to clean calphalon?
My DH made eggs on Sunday and the pan has been soaking ever since, many attempts have been made and the eggs won't come off!
Any ideas what to do? TIA!

Pour salt in the bottom and a little bit of water, let it sit overnight and then scrub it.

OMG I just spent the last 10 minutes scrubbing mine with softscrub.I believe when you buy them they come with a little bottle of softscrub. I scrubbed and scrubbed but can't get the sticky oil off around the edge...what a palaver!

I wish I never got my Calphalon pots and pans. I hate them! So hard to clean and they're already ruined. Great waste of 600 bucks.

definitely try the salt, it eats up all the grease and loosens the grit.

Re: Any suggestions how to clean calphalon?
Its funny because the Calphalon Griddles are fantastic! I don't have any pots or pans, I just have regular stainless steel ones....I love Calphalon Griddles though!

Thanks, I'll definitely try it... These are the hardest things to clean, like someone else said, not worth the $$$$

Same here. I've never had a problem with them. And DH loves them since he's the one that does most of the cooking.
I hope you get your pan cleaned!

Re: Any suggestions how to clean calphalon?
BB&B sells a cleaner for Calphalon pots and pans. It's called Dormand.
Dormond: Soft, non-abrasive cleaner for all Calphalon pots and pans. Includes a soft scrub brush.
Never tried it, but that might help!

Re: Any suggestions how to clean calphalon?
We have calphalon and I am not to thrilled either....the fact that you can't just throw it in the dishwasher kills me. We finally broke down and put one pan in the dishwasher and now it is the ugliest shade of worn out grey...looks horrible.
Next time I will be buying All Clad or some other brand of dishwasher safe non-stick pans!!!!
As someone recommended we have tried using salt and it is still tough to clean these pots/pans.

Re: Any suggestions how to clean calphalon?
I don't have Calphalon. I have All-Clad. We sometimes use Bar Keeper's Friend. That works pretty well.
If something is really stuck, though, we use my mom's method: Put water in the pot or pan, and heat it on the stove. Let the water boil for a bit and everything will get unstuck. It should work for Calphalon. Good luck.

that's exactly what we do. That's called de-glazing the pan. Just for the future put water in the pan after you have taken out your food and keep the heat on a little while longer and scrape it with your spatula. It should come off easy.

Yep, with a little bit of salt right after cooking, it would come right off!

Re: Any suggestions how to clean calphalon?
But I have some really sticky oil stuck on...and I used a soft abrasive cleaner...I will try salt tonight
FYI...if you send your pots back to Calphalon, they will send you a replacement. So if your pans are shot to sh*t, contact them and they will send you a new one. My mom has done that!
