Disney!!!!
I just booked a trip to Disney for Jan 11-14th. We are staying at the Royal Palm downtown Disney.
My question is this....
What is the weather like at that time of year.. What clothes should I pack?
Does anyone have any discount websites for park passes.
Any must-do's / must see's ? Any suggestions would be helpful. This is my first time there.. and my DH hasn't been there since he was 11.
Thank you

Re: Disney!!!!
yah Disney is awesome, I love it!! I have not been in a few yrs but in terms of discounts for park passes if you are a member of Triple A they offer some discounts, you can check on their website In terms of what to do, MGM is awesome, breakfast with the Disney characters is a lot of fun Pleasure Island (Downtown Disney) is great for nightlife, a lot of resturaunts, bars, etc....
Wish I could give you more info, good luck, have an awesome trip!!!

Re: Disney!!!!
I will have just missed you-- we are going the 19th to the 23rd... DH has a conference down there so we are making a trip of it.
We are staying at the Beach Club Resort-- and we'll spend one day at Magic Kingdom-- the rest of the time I wil lbe on my own pretty much and plan on spending time exploring epcot, and of course the Spa at the Grand Floridian.
Other than that-- I have looked a bit at the restaurants (we are a bit of food snobs) and some of the menus look really nice!

Re: Disney!!!!
mousesavers.com and allears.com
i would also pick up the unofficial guide to disney for this year (you can get it at the library so that you dont have to spend any $$$ on it)... but it will help you plan well to make the Most out of the time that you have there (its says which parks are busiest when, and suggests when to go to avoid lines and crowds, etc...)
my favorite rides are Tower of Terror and Rock n' rollercoaster (in MGM)... then the worlds in Epcot (specifically: drinking at all of the worlds )... and we alwayshave dinner at the Polynesian at least once while we're there (its a resort that you can get to on the monorail- hawaiin theme.... SO delicious- worth the price!!).
when we went in August, DH ordered one of those 'entertainment guide books'.. that you pay like $10 (or something like that for), and it has a whole bunch of coupons in it... it was worth it because we saved well over $10, so we made out, but if you're only there for a couple of days, it may not pay to get it.
i HATE planning.... i wasn't even into wedding planning when i got married But, with Disney.. its all about planing. if you plan it well, you'll be able to see and do everything you want, and with as little aggrivation as possible.
Have a great trip!!!!!
