Myomectomy (Update)
Wish me luck!
I have been contemplating removing my fibroids for about 3 years now and decided it is time. I have at least 3 fibroids (each the size of an orange) and I have been told that at least one of my fibroids are creating pressure on one of my tubes. I have also been told that that my uterus is the size of a 11 week pregnant woman. During my myomectomy, they are also going to check my tubes and I am praying that they are FINE. They have been questionable up to this point.
I am going to stay overnight(s) at the hospital  and I am so not looking forward to it. Recovery time is 6 weeks, but I should be able to drive in about 2 weeks. And as for the Internet, I am hoping in a matter of days.  And as for BD, I think I read 2 weeks (I forgot to ask Doctor...lol) But, I cannot even imagine wanting to BD at 2 Weeks   . Ouch!
I am so nervous but I know that this is the best decision for me! "Thanks" for all your support!
Update: Hello Girls, I am home!! Im groggy and in pain but thank goodness for Pain PILLs! They went in thinking they were going to remove about 3 fibroids but as it turned out, they removed 8 fibroids! All of my sonograms didnt pick up the other fibroids. So, my decision to move forward with the myomectomy was the BEST Decision! And I am happy to say that my tubes are fine! He had to open up one of my tubes due to scar tissue from a previous LAP and the other tube was just fine. We had talked about removing one of my tubes if he found it to be severely damaged but after he opened me up, he felt the best decision was to repair it. So, hopefully, we can concieve naturally.  We are going to give it a few months to try on our own or until we figure out financing for IVF. Either way, I am so relieved that they are out of my body!!

Ooh, Good luck. Everything will be fine I hope it goes well for you and I wish you a very speedy recovery. Shouldn't think you be feeling much like BD for a while anyway?

Good luck with your surgery. It sounds like you are making the right decision and moving forward.
Try to get some trashy gossip magazines whie you are rezsting up.

I know someone who had it done and she recovered very well. She looked like she was about 4-5 months pregnant and they were getting bigger. Good Luck to your recovery!

Good luck. I had a myo 3 years ago. FM me if you need anything at all!!!! I'd love to help someone else through it. Pamper yourself in the beginning and then just listen to your body. You'll do fine!
