I just finished reading "Enrique's Journey," and I feel very emotionally drained. I'm the daughter of an immigrant and though my family came legally, I can relate to so many of the isses Enrique and his fam faced. What an amazing book and what a great choice.

I'm so glad you liked it, although I was a little afraid you didn't when I read the first sentence. glad I continued reading!! 
I heard about this book on some news show a while back (MSNBC, CNBC, etc) and thought it'd be something I'd like to read.

I jsut started last night.....(after finishing Ines of my Soul, which I loved!!).
I have a feeling I am going to be very emotionally involved....you know how I feel about this topic...
Now if we could just get those Republicans to read it!!

Well 12/25 is the last Mon of the month, but that's out, and the following week is new year's day.
So how about the 8th?
