Kauai
DH and I are headed back to Kauai at the end of Jan. for my b'day. Did Kauai for 6 days on our honeymoon. Any suggestions? We did Kehee Beach and helicopter ride. Pool hopped at all the hotels. Anyone go to Barking Sands beach or actually go to Waimea State Park (helicopter did it last time). Any ideas appreciated.

Re: Kauai
DH did a boat tour of the Napali coast... it was a small boat with about 15 people on it and took him into the little nooks that you couldn't get to otherwise. I was chicken and didn't go, but he said it was incredible.

Re: Kauai
i went to waimea canyon and did a lovely hike out away from the canyon and ended up with a view of the napali coast. it was gorgeous. if you like hiking of course... we bought a book called i think "dayhikes in kauai". it was very helpful. did you go to the botanic garden? the tour there was very nice.

Re: Kauai
We went to waimea canyon and it was breathtaking. I wish we did the boat tour of the napali coast. Next time.
We also took a dunebuggy tour of a plantation where they brought you to a waterfall to swim & have lunch. It was fun they give you a helmet and coveralls because you get mud on you during the drive. DH loved it. Not sure of the name of the trip but we stayed at the Hyatt & they arranged it for us. We loved the Hyatt there by the way.

Re: Kauai
I Looooooved Kauai! We rented a car... we stayed near Poipu beach. We spent one day driving to the Na Pali coast (and stopping at everything that looked cool on the way, caves, beaches, etc.), then we went hiking there and went to the beach/snorkeling there. Another day we drove the oppositte direcrtion and went to weimea canyon and then found the secluded Private beaches near the other side of the Na Pali coast & barking sands beach. We also did the helicopter tour and a Kayak/Rainforest tour which was awesome! We kayaked down a river and went for a hike in the rainforest, we saw the waterfalls from Indiana Jones and did a rope swing/jump, and we saw the fields from Jurassic Park. But we got tons (I mean like 60 each) mosquito bites.
