NEW YORK: When Jessica Simpson first arrived at the Hudson Hotel with new arm-candy John Mayer just after 2 a.m., the pop tart went to take a seat on a couch and slid right off onto the floor. Polite rapper and fellow reveler Q-Tip helped her up.
Simpson spent the rest of the evening pouting as Mayer's attention rested solely on gossip blogger Perez Hilton (whom Mayer later deemed "not evil" in a 4:24 a.m. post on his own blog, though he later deleted it). The "Dukes of Hazzard" "actress" incessantly tugged at her date's pants and hands until he appeased her with a long smooch.
Meanwhile, at JoonBug.com's celebration at Marquee, Simpson's ex Nick Lachey enjoyed a seductive lap dance from sweetie Vanessa Minnillo , fresh from blurting out the F-word on MTV. But as the couple headed home, Minnillo, who like many had been sipping from a Champagne flute all evening, stumbled and fell out the back entrance of the club, reports our spywitness. Lachey, who'd paced himself with just a few beers, was visibly annoyed, says our eye-guy.
Over at Plumm, co-owner and actor Jesse Bradford made out with pop singer Celeste (of Daphne & Celeste) in a dark corner as Leelee Sobieski and "SNL" funny guys Seth Meyers and Andy Samberg partied on.
VEGAS: Kid Rock treated the A-list crowd in the JET nightclub at the Mirage, including Leonardo DiCaprio , girl-friend Bar Rafaeli and pal Lukas Haas , to a rare deejay set before storming off to the Hard Rock Hotel around 6 a.m.
Once there, Rock practically knocked down the door of what he thought was the room of fellow Pam Anderson ex Tommy Lee . When the sleepy occupant answered, Rock apologized and gave him an autograph, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
ST. BARTS: On the Saturday before NYE, Zach Braff got into a screaming match with Nicky Hilton after he incessantly snapped party shots of her with his camera. Not more than two minutes later, they made up over a cigarette.
MIAMI is for lovers. Multiple lovers. Onlookers buzzed this weekend as ladies' man Wilmer Valderrama was spotted with exes Mandy Moore and Lindsay Lohan . Asked to set the record straight for The News, Valderrama told us, "There's not really stories there. I mean, I'm here with everybody else here."
Then why did Moore sneak into Valderrama's New Year's Eve bash at Mansion and whisper a greeting in the actor's ear after midnight as he stroked her hair?
"Wilmer really plays the game," said one source. "He may be back with Mandy Moore, but that doesn't stop him from not leaving Lohan alone ... He came by the pool at the Delano Hotel on New Year's Day to give her a 'Happy New Year' kiss."

Though reality-TV debutante Kristin Cavallari spent the weekend glued to man candy Nick Zano , her ex, Brody Jenner , had a naughty New Year's to cheer him up. We may have seen Cavallari and Zano grooving to DJ am at Mansion Friday, but Jenner's wildest moment of 2006 took place "on the boat," a leggy brunette with the playboy told us. Want the details? "It involved a lot of lingerie," Jenner told us.
