Not so Happy Holiday for us....
Last Tuesday My DH went over to his cousins house to check up on him and hang out with him for a while... He is in the middle of a messy divorce and his 2 daughters have not really talked to him to much lately...
Well when DH got to the house, his cousin was not answering the door and he looked around the house (outside) to see if he was around...when he got to the garage he heard a car running. He broke down the door to get in the garage and ran to the car but it was too late..he had been in there for a few hours already.
DH is having such a hard time with the visuals he keeps getting... he keeps replaying the whole scene in his head over and over.
So we spent our holiday weekend at the funeral home......
Just When I thought this year would be a little better then last when we lost my MIL before CHristmas...

OMG! I'm so sorry!!
Unfortunately, I think the visual of seeing a loved one not alive is one of the worst things ever. I was sitting right next to my mom the moment she died and while I'm happy she wasn't alone, that moment is a vision that replays in my head all of the time.
Please let me know if you want someone to talk to.

wow i'm so sorry for your loss. its so hard losing someone from suicide. there's always those what ifs and please let your husband know that he did all he could.

I am so sorry Your DH may need counseling at some point - have you discussed that with him? A good friend's DH found HER father after he shot himself and I know it took him quite sometime to get the mental pics under control
Again, I am so very sorry for your loss

I'm so sorry. I understand too. I watched my dad die and sometimes I go back to that day and it is hard.
I think that maybe he should talk to someone also. I'm sure that will help.
