Yup - heartburn a.k.a. acid reflux - and all drugs above help take care of it.

Re: Prilosec and IVF

GERDS Stands for Gastric Esophageal reflux disease syndrone. Basically what it is There is a flap at the bottom of your esophugus and it usually stays closed except when you are eating. During digestion people with GERDS there flap allows stomach acids up the esophgus that is why you get the acidy feeling and discomfort! This is easiest way to explain but prilosec or zantac and nexium all help calm down the stomach acids. Hope this helps!

Re: Prilosec and IVF

I actually stopped taking it already and am trying to watch what I eat. It says right on the package not to take if you become pregnant so I'd rather not take the chance.
