Too blingy for a wedding?
My sister is getting married in November and although she hasn't picked out a dress yet for us girls (we'll be doing that this weekend), she's leaning towards brown as a color.
I was thinking about ordering these shoes "just in case", but are they too showy???
Creme/Brown
Tan/Brown
(I already own them in Denim & Lettuce and love the shoes...they're so much prettier in person.)
I have to buy shoes when I find them b/c being a size 12, it's difficult to find shoes when I need them. Zappos offers a 365 day return policy, so should I decide they don't go or I find a different pair, I can return them.
My biggest concern is that since I'm the MOH, I don't want to look like I'm trying to upshow the bride.
So, too blingy for a MOH???

I like them. I think they are fine. Ask your sister what she thinks about them.

Re: Too blingy for a wedding?
I Love them
My bridesmaids were brown too
I was going to ask them to get any kind of strappy gold/jewel heel they wanted, but in the end the opted to wear closed toe
So no, I don't think it will be too showy for a MOH. The bride will look gorgeous regardless and you def need to have the hottest shoes
She'll probably want you to get them!

They are perfectly fine and not blingy. Are you wearing a long dress?

Re: Too blingy for a wedding?
I love them!! Since you already love the style/brand and you found a size 12, I would get them. You can always return them or save them for another time. There is absoluely no way the MOH's shoes can upshow the bride. Congrats to your sister!

Re: Too blingy for a wedding?
On the list of things people can do to upstage a bride, blingy shoes never even made an appearance! Inappopriate dress, overdone hair, crazy makeup, exessive alcohol consumption - all there! But not shoes. I say get them!

Re: Too blingy for a wedding?
I don't think they are too blingy in the least bit. Very elegant! If you don't end up getting a brown dress for the wedding, they are still nice shoes to wear!

Not at all! I love them! My only concern would be it too cold for a November wedding.

Re: Too blingy for a wedding?
Thanks everyone!!!! I ordered them.
I just didn't know if I should stick with wearing a dyeable type shoe, since they tend to be more understated. (I may have to anyway if neither one of these colors go well with the gown.)
And I'm not too concerned about wearing open toe shoes/sandals in the fall/winter. That never bothered me weather wise, nor have I ever considered it a faux pas for special occasions.

Re: Too blingy for a wedding?
nahhh i think this is a much better choice than the dyables....so "match-y matchy" & 1980's!!! lol If the dresses are brown, I would definately go w/this shoe, or if for some reason these dont work, another "goldish" one!

Re: Too blingy for a wedding?
Well, we picked out the BM's dresses on Saturday and of course naturally because I placed the order already...we're wearing Black now.
At least it's a decent gown:
I ordered these: we'll see how they look in person.
