Baked clam dip??

Does anyone have a great recipe for baked clam dip that they have used? I had it once, it was delicious (and I don't even like clams). I see a few recipes online, but was wondering if anyone has one that they love. TIA!

Re: Baked clam dip??

I have a good one!!!
you will need:
-1/2 green bell pepper (chopped)
-1 medium onion (chopped)
-1/4 lb butter
-2 - 61/2 oz cans of clams (with juices)
-2tbsp parsley
-1/2 tsp oregano
-1tsp lemon juice
-3/4 cup bread crub (I use the 4C seasoned)
-1 cup grated cheddar cheese
-hot sauce and salt and pepper ot taste

1. preheat the oven to 375
2. Saute the onion and green pepper in the butter until soft
3. Remove onions and peppers from heat and add the clams (with juices), parsley, oregano, hot sauce, pepper, lemon juice and bread crumb
4. Transfer the mixture to a buttered baking dish and top with grated cheese
5. bake for 30 min or until bubbly
serve with Ritz crackers

It's definitely not the healthiest recipe but it's really good and so easy! I've made it a few times now. I'm not always exact with the measurements of the ingredients and it still comes out good.

I made this last night, and everybody LOVED it!!!!! I got so many compliments. I think I'm going to make it again tonight a milder cheese like mozzarella or monterey jack though. We served it with wheat crackers.

Yay! I've been wanting to try it with mozz cheese. If you give it a try, let me know how it comes out!

I made this dip w/ slight variations for New Year's and it was delicious!! Everyone loved it. I actually used grated cheese (locatelli romano) in place of the cheddar & it was awesome. Thank you for posting! It will be my new favoriteChat Icon
