A painter actually told me to use outdoor paint to paint the kitchen and bathroom. Supposedly it is better for moisture and cleaning.

I thought semi-gloss in the kitchen and the bathroom for easy cleaning. Eggshell is matte no? Anyway, I have semi-gloss. It's not shiny, if you're worried about that!

the glossier the easier for cleaning, but we used a flat, b/c it was the color that continued from another room

BM's premium Matte/flat is totally washable. I don't like shiny paint. The more shiny the paint the more imperfections show as well.

Semi gloss in the kitchens and baths, eggshell everywhere else.
We don't like flat paint, it picks up everything so we use eggshell on the majority of the house.
