Anyone have an ING account?
Just wondering if anyone has any experience with an ING account. DH and I are looking into opening an account with them for our baby but have NO idea where to start.
Thanks!

Re: Anyone have an ING account?
i LOVE ing! it let me save a lot of $$$ for my wedding and i made a ton of interest.
it's very easy to set up and use...but it takes a few days for money to "clear", so if you need to make an immediate withdrawal, you can't. you have to wait like 3-4 days.
other than that, it's perfectly legit and safe.
FM me and i'll send you a link where you can get $25 deposited into your account for being referred.
let me know if you have any other questions!

Re: Anyone have an ING account?
I know I'm asking silly questions... but what type of account does everyone have with ING... savings? a CD? A Checking?
Someone mentioned that a CD yields a higher rate than the ING Savings.
So confusing!

Re: Anyone have an ING account?
I've had an ING account since 2002 and I love it. I use it to set money aside for big/special purchases separate from our other savings. The only downside (which can also be good sometimes) is that if you need fast access to your savings, ING isn't the way to go.
I also high recommend eSavings by Citibank. If you already have a checking account with Citi it's really easy. They offer 5.0% interest and you can easily transfer your money from checking to savings and have access to all of it from any ATM.

Citibank is offering 5% savings. You have to open a checking account with them but it's a lot easier to transfer and get your $$.

Re: Anyone have an ING account?
I LOVE my ING account!!! It was the easiest thing I've ever done- all over the phone/computer. Getting my $$ back was even easy, with having to add another account, just needed to wait 4 business days, but I knew that and planned in advance.
You can't go wrong....

Re: Anyone have an ING account?
I do, and love it. We used it to save for our wedding, now we're using it to save for a house. 4.5% interest...it really adds up. I use their electric orange checking as a Christmas Club, too, since my bank doesn't have one (I don't think). It's great. Highly recommended.

Re: Anyone have an ING account?
Very satisfied customer of ING -- if you don't mind not dealing with an actual branch. Then again, so much these days is electronic anyway! I def. recommend ING!

I love ING. I've been using them for about 6 years. I personally like that I don't have immediate access to the money I've just transferred

the only "catch" is that your $$$ isnt immediately accessible. It takes 2-3 business days to be transferred to your checking acct.

Actually they just started offering the ING Checking account, so you can transfer the money from the savings to the checking and withdraw it with the debit card they provide. I signed up for the checking and I heard it's only offered to select people at this time, but on February 1st it will be offered to everyone. If you are an existing ING customer, you can log into your account and see if the option is there to open the checking. You don't get real checks, just electronic ones FYI.

Re: Anyone have an ING account?
We have an HSBC Online Account which has interest of 5.05%.
Wamu offers 5% when you sign up for the online checking/savings package and they allow you to access the account in the branch so that they is no delay in you being able to access the money if you need it.
