I spent a month in Egypt when I was in college. It was a winter session exchange program. Your pictures brought back so many great memories. We attended classes at the American University in Cairo, and went on so many sightseeing trips. Our teachers and guides really pushed us. We were exhausted each night. It was a great experience.
Unfortunately, it was over 10 years ago and way before digital cameras. I have all my photos in an album that I never look at.
I'm glad to see you had such a great time and you have fantastic photos!!

Great review!! I went on business 2 years ago and witnessed a wedding in our hotel lobby too.
I love the Pizza Hut shot -- I thought it was funny but sad how the sphinx is looking at -- Pizza Hut...

They have awesome security. There are several different kinds of police:
- regular police, posted all over the place
- tourist police, dozens in every tourist attraction
- "green" police that ride around in trucks. maybe they are army personnel?
-undercover police. Karen mentioned that for every uniformed officer you see, there are 3 undercover officers.

I was just thinking of you remembering you had this trip planned. it looks AMAZING!!!!! the pic of you and DH on the camels in front of the pyramids -  Hands down, coolest pic EVER. so glad you guys enjoyed it so much!!!!
