Was nervous about doing ICSI but....
I had 25 eggs retrieved yesterday. They did 12 ICSI and 13 regular. All 12 ICSI'd fertilized and only one of the regular fertilized. I guess we really needed the ICSI even though I was so nervous about having them do this for some reason....does anyone else have experience with ICSI? They are thinking a 5dt but I will be on standby Thursday morning for a 3dt just in case....

I was initially hesitant about ICSI as well, but had the same experience - the "regular" ones didn't fertilize.
Apparently I had impenetrable egg walls!!

I had ICSI, but am not pregnant. However, we did have 8 eggs last time and 4 were ICSI'd and 4 were left to their own devices and non of the ones left on their own fertilized....so you're not the only one and I am glad I'm not the only one
I asked the Dr to ICSI everything this time and he said it's really not that easy - it all depends on egg quality and sperm quailty.

Thanks all! It was the "motherload"! - and quite painful I might add. She didn't give me much info on quality today so I am hoping quality didn't suffer for quantity. will know more tomorrow when they call...Thanks again for sharing your stories.

Wow!! That's an amazing number of eggs....you will hopefully have a bunch left for freezing.
I am ICSI'ing half so I can tell you in a couple of weeks how it goes
