CROP pants and they fit like regular pant.

I love that I am plus size and have to shop in the petite part of Lane Bryant.

JUST because Im fat doesn't mean im 6'0 If I was 6'0 I probably wouldn't be fat Chat Icon

Because you're a shortie-cake Chat Icon

I agree about the dry cleaner - they can usually do a quick hem.

Also, have you tried the petite stuff at NY&Co?

Re: Why is it that I just tried on

When I wore suits daily for work, I used to get them from JCPenney, Macy's and August Max Woman (although I don't think they are open anymore at least in Chicago). Department stores usually have Petite women sizes so I'd go there first. Sometimes, I'd find stuff at Marshall's, TJ Maxx, Burlington Coat Factory and Filene's Basement. With those stores you can't really have anything in mind, sometimes it's hit or miss.

ETA: The quality of LB suits have gotten much better. So check there also.

I always thought petite was referring to height, not body-frame/weight.

Its just not often refer to overweight people as petite even though I am little everywhere else... Like my shoe size being 5 1/2 Or 6 Chat Icon

Well I don't know what size you are but they do go up to size 16 maybe 18.

But for a bigger selection of suits your best bet is probably still Macy's. Especially if you want something more professional looking - NY & Co can be hit or miss with that...sometimes they can be too trendy.

Good luck juney!

Re: Why is it that I just tried on

I am 5'4" and a size 16-18 and EVERYTHING is too long...petite, too short. It' like I have longer legs and a shorter stomach area so I always am trying to find a good balance without looking like I had droopy pants or the other end which is camel toe. I have great luck at JC Penney and the Gap/Old Navy have a good selections as well. Good luck....
