dry skin???

What do i do about my cat having dry skin??? Since we moved into our new house, he likes to sit on the vents in the floor... which then gives him dry skin. Is there anything i can do about this? Chat Icon

He will let us give him a short (short is the key word) bath, but i don't want to have to do that to him all the time, you know?

Can you add a supplement to your kitty's food. Like an omega-3 or a Linatone type thing?

We actually just had this problem with my cat, he has dandruff and his fur was falling out in patches...we had to bring him to the vet to get a cortisone shot. If it is not as serious as that, Petsmart etc has moisture sprays and tablets you can buy.

but what happens if the problem persists? Does your cat have to keep going back for shots?

The vet said the shot is good for 1 month...so I guess we would have to go back during the winter months...(if it continues). So far he is doing a ton better..
