Re: Anyone stay at Dream in Cabo?
Yes, we stayed there for our HM. I thought it was beautiful. It is not on a swimable beach, so if you want a beach hotel, this may not be for you, but the restaurants, rooms, pool and staff were awesome.
I'll be happy to answer any specific questions.

We were leaning towards RIU based on recommendations on this board but dream really caught our eye.
I'm REALLY happy to know that Dream isn't on a beach as I'm a beach person and my DH likes to scuba dive. We were about to book our trip. Definitely have to do some thinking.
For those who stayed at an all inclusive, did you venture out into "town"?

I stayed at Dreams Cancun and it was great. All the restaurants were really good too.

Don't get me wrong - Dreams has a beach and it's beautiful but it's not a beach where you can swim. There are very few hotels in Cabo that have swimable beaches because of the undertow but I know One & Only has and I think the Hilton does.
We went snorkling and did the "mini-sub" which was a lot of fun and well worth doing. We don't scuba, but I'm sure you can.
Dreams is half way between Old Cabo and downtown Cabo and they have a shuttle that runs all day and takes you downtown. I guess we went to town most evenings either to the stores or bars. We did a sunset jazz catamaran cruise to the Arch also which I would recommend.
We also rented an open top jeep for two days and went out to where "Hotel California" was written.
If we were to go to Cabo again I would probably stay at the Pueblo Bunito. It's not an all-inclusive, but it's on a safe beach, close to town and there are such great restaurants that you don't really need an AI.

we went into town every night- it was a $10 cab ride from the RIU
Jake went scuba diving right at the hotel- so it was perfect-
