Question about pre-qualifying
Is there a way to know what we can anticipate pre-qualifying for based on our incomes, credit scores, etc? Or does it totally depend on where we go etc? Meaning...is there some kind of guide that if you make this much $, etc. you can expect to prequal for X?
Sorry if this is silly...I'm new and clueless!

Re: Question about pre-qualifying
Visit area banks.....they'll all be able to tell you what range to look in, but what you should be concerned about as well as the amt. is the INTEREST Rate and that's different everywhere you go!

Re: Question about pre-qualifying
You can run your numbers through lendingtree.com or bankrate.com and get an idea of what you can afford. Alternatively, on MLSI.com you can calculate the monthly costs (doesn't include taxes and utilities) to see if you'd be comfortable with that monthly amount.
