Jennifer Aniston is about to become a single mom!
The 37-year-old star decided she's running out of time, and has spent the past several weeks consulting adoption experts - and looking for a newborn American baby girl, The ENQUIRER has learned.
Unlike her archrival Angelina Jolie, the "Friends" beauty insists there are plenty of needy orphans right in Los Angeles.
Jen's painful breakup with Vince Vaughn, following so soon after her disastrous marriage to Brad, convinced her to take action without waiting for Mr. Right, say insiders.
"She longs for a baby girl," revealed a close source.
"But she's not intending to stop at one! Jen has decided on two of similar ages, and if the opportunity to take a boy comes first she'll wait for the girl."

Thank goodness- I know the adoption process is harder and longer in the US but I think that these celebrities should be helping out our orphans before turning to another country.

If it is true, I think it is great.
BUT...........
I hope she doesn't get preferential treatment b/c of her celebrity status.
The wait list for an American adoption is , I believe, YEARS. There are plent of families who have been waiting for one. That would not be right, JMO.
