Has DH MET me??
He went grocery shopping (after several requests) and he did a pretty good job. There was ice cream on sale and he got 2 tubs. He said " I got cookies and cream for me and vanilla for you, since I know you like it."
Ummmmmmm, I have never liked vanilla ice cream. I have never, in his presence, eaten vanilla ice cream. (Im a chocolate girl all the way)
I wonder who he was thinking of when he decided to buy that.

UGH, my Dad was always more like this...
DH is pretty good but yes, still has his clueless moments
BTW: I feel life's too short for vanilla as well. If you only life once...

Not only does DH do that sometimes, my Mom is very big on doing this!
She came over a few weeks ago with cheesecake cupcakes for me. I looked right at her and said "Mom, in the 30-some odd years since you bore me, have you EVER seen me eat cheesecake?"
Her response was "Oh really, than let Chris eat it all".
I guess she likes him better

My mom likes DH better too..she will go food shopping and buy HIM brownies and all his foods and Im always looking in the bag like "what, nothing for me" ...and she will say, well you dont buy him anything he likes...UM...WHAT???

Not to worry....my dad will buy my mom chocolate ice cream....and she is vanialla all the way....and they have been married 40 years!!!! She has just learned to live with it

That's like my FIL who got a carrot cake for my MIL for her birthday because he said it was her favorite - she HATES carrot cake!! and they were married for twentysomething years
