HOLY... Disney

My DH and I will be driving to Florida. We are going for my nephews birthday and he wants to stay at the nick hotel... WELL the nick hotel is 500.00 A NIGHT!

No thanks.... My SIL was going to let us stay in her room BUT we found out you can't do anything in the hotel with out wristbands so we might be able to pretend to stay in my IL room and get wristbands... ANYHOW... I talk to her after looking on the website and realizing it looks like a big waterpark and thats it.She tells me theres other things to do like a bar at the pool (where im sure you spend 20.00 a drink Chat Icon ) and SHUFFLE BOARD... LIKE IM 90 YEARS OLD Chat Icon

We were trying to think of other things to do in Orlando and of course we love Disney. I just looked at the price

Re: HOLY... Disney

We got our tickets to Disney through AAA and it was discounted I think. It was a long time ago (2000) so I don't remember the price.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Resort on International Drive for less than $100 a night. It was a nice hotel, had a great jacuzzi and was in the middle of lots of restaurants and stores. And only a few minutes from Disney.

I just checked Disney.com

A 2 day base park ticket is $132

A 2 day park hopper is $177

If you don't have to go to 2 parks on the same day, the base ticket price isn't too too bad.

Re: HOLY... Disney

We stayed in Old Town for less than $100 per night & the Days Inn has discount tickets to the resorts. I think we paid $99 for a 2 day.

Nickelodeon hotel. It's a holiday inn that they charge way to much money for. Chat Icon It's decorated with Nick stuff.

Sorry I probably should have said that was for the 2 of us.

132 per person.

Re: HOLY... Disney

i just got back from Disney..

One day ticket for 1 person is $67. 2 day, it's $66/day-- after that the savings gets better and begins dropping more the more days you add on. I think 3 days was $51/day.

To add the park hopper, it's a $45 one time fee to be used all the days you have park tickets.

Re: HOLY... Disney

We stayed at the Nick hotel when we went down.

IMO it was nothing special unless you are under the age of 8.

I thought the room was just so-so.

The hotel itself is super confusing to get around.

And it's really only geared for people with kids. Not like Disney, where you can still enjoy it as an adult.

There are so many slides and water guns and characters in the pool area, I wouldn't set foot in it.

This is what I said to my sister in law. I am only going because we can (hopefully) stay in her room for free. If not it will be the best western on international drive. I said the same thing about Disney is for people of all ages.

This is why we are tryng to find other things to do... But DISNEY is so $$$$$$
