Thoughtful Shower Gift
My sister-in-law is due 3 weeks after me. For her shower, I wanted to do something really special and thoughtful for her. This will be our first niece or nephew. Any ideas? Thanks!

i dont know if this is what you had in mind, but i would've loved a gft certificate for a spa treatment, preferably a massage.
For the baby, anything handmade was so special.

What about a GC for her to have the baby's first professional photos taken??
Or do your own diaper of the month club.. every month for a year you send a box of diapers.
I would have loved either of these

Thats a really cute gift but I just have to share my 2 cents.
1 - there are a LOT of options out there besides storks now... baby carriage, baby holding a bottle, the list goes on and on, So if the mom is really picky it might be better for her to pick for herself
2 - Many people are against these. They let everyone that drives past your house know that you have a newborn. I think it was during the summer that it was on the news someone slashed a new mothers face and tried to take her baby b/c they had the stork out on the lawn and some crazy woman just rang the bell in the middle of the day when the woman was home alone with the baby...
Since then many people have stopped getting them.

The link to their store says 7 days is $79. I'm sure we used Stork news but I thought it was more than that!!!
For Lauren I think a gc to KIddie Kandids would be fabulous. You could put it in a personalized frame!

Thats a good idea. Maybe I will do that. I just feel like I should do something special, because I know she feels some people arent very accepting of this whole pregnancy.

I got the spa certificate and loved it but ahve yet to use it and it was a Nordstrom pre-natal massage!
I also got the GC for Kiddie Kandids and loved that as well and used it up in a second! I vote for that one-you can never have enough pictures of your little one and that place is great!

A very close friend of mine packed my hospital bag with all the items I would need, including snacks for DH. IT had PJs. Slippers, hair ties, tolietries, etc. It was great!
