One bigger than the other
When I went for my sonogram yesterday they said that one sac was bigger than the other and that one might be absorbed. Did any of you experience this...The dr said it could be the sac is positioned....Just curious.
I am starting to love the fact that there are 2 and I would hate to lose one....

I experienced something similar at 6 or 7 weeks. One heartbeat was fainter than the other and the doc warned me of "vanishing twin" syndrome.
It was difficult but I tried not to worry. I knew any stress wasn't going to help Turns out my faint heartbeat caught up to its sibling. The difference was probably attributed to later implantation.
Could the difference in yours be due to later implantation?

Try and hang in there... I have a friend who that did happen too, but you don't know that it is you yet! Keep your fingers crossed!
Did you see the NG Special on Multiples in the womb? It talked about that concept and how it happens in cases where the placenta cant provide enough nutrition to both and so nature takes its course so that 1 can be healthy. Its a tough thing to go through I would imagine, but trust in why it happens if it does. Keep resting and hang in there!

Yes, one of mine was always measuring a few days or so bigger than the other - probably b/c she implanted a little later. Try to relax, I know it's hard!!!

Yes, I had the same thing, one was measuring a few days bigger than the other one. It eventually caught up. I know how scary it is when they tell you the one might not make it. They told me that too. Hang in there.

I had that--it can also mean one fertilized before the other and will catch up...do not stress yourself out--they tend to freak u out when they talk and u have to completely take it with a grain of salt.
the ones that differed in size--my sacs caught up ...they differed by quite a few days.
they will compare sonos on Monday and u will see!

Same thing happened to me. They caught up by 6-7 weeks.

Hang in there. One of mine was a week and a half behind the other. It could have been a late implanter my Dr. said. The heartbeat was slower and I thought it wasnt going to make it (whic was Christopher)
Well, low and behold by 11-12 weeks they were only a day a part.

my first sonogram at 6 weeks looked exactly what you are explaining. My dr. said it was normal. if you google twin sonograms... most do look like this around 6 weeks.

Thank you ladies for all of your help. I am going to the DR on Monday for another sonogram which I guess will tell us more....I really hope that I get to join this board...At first I was terrified but now I think it will be great....
