i dont go there but my dh parents live in syosset and everytime I drive by ID, its jammed whether it be 6 pm on a friday or 9 am on a saturday

My MIL got her hair and makeup done there for my wedding. She had her hair put up and curled...the curls lasted all night..I also got my hair blown out and curled there for a wedding. I think it would have looked nice, but it was so hot and humid that day that my hair frizzed..and curls didn't really last.

I live pretty close, just north of there. I've always wondered. I've been going to Scissors Salon and Day Spa in Syosset which is about a mile up the road. Let me know if you go and like it.

Thanks for the info. I go on Tuesday. I want the "Posh" angled bob. As for color, I will leave it up to the stylist...I like to do that.

I started at Scissors back in 2005 and was paying $38 and now the cost is $45. But I really like the woman that cuts my hair. I just get cuts, no other service. They are crowded on the weekends, but i usually go on Tuesdays and its really quiet there.

The place I go to now is $70 so $45 seems pretty reasonable to me.

I went to I.d. last night. Not thrilled.
Color came out ok. Cut not soo great. I got the "posh" angled bob. When I got home last night, I noticed one side was about 2 inches longer than the other!
Not happy. Today I went to a local hairdresser to get it fixed.
$200 later, I will not go back again!!!!

I've been and although I know people who were pleased, I really wasn't. I go to Bocu in Commack, but don't always love it there either. I must say that for years I used Nubest in Manhassett and was always pleased. The only reason I no longer go there is I live in Smithtown and it is just to far away.

Never been to ID, but I used to go to Domani in Woodbury on Woodbury Road for YEARS. I still go back when I am on Long Island. They do amazing cuts and color - with prices similar to ID. I have always had good experiences with Dawn and Nicole there.

I finally went today (Ive wanted to go for a little while now) and I have to say I loved the place - I got highlights and lowlights and a blowout - everything came out great!
