Re: massapequa
I don't think there is a Lake Shore St in Massapequa - maybe you mean Cedar Shore Drive or W or E Shore Drive?
Either way, there are really no bad parts of Massapequa. Great town, good schools. Just make sure you stay within the Massapequa School District (23) and you'll be fine. East Massapequa is usually Amityville SD which is not so great.

Re: massapequa
Isn't Lake Shore Drive just south of Sunrise Hwy? (and connects to Merrick Rd)
That area is Massapequa SD 23.

Re: massapequa
lake shore drive is in massapequa park however it is a very busy street ----- a lot of traffic towards the parkway... -
-i believe that part of it runs throough massapequa park (school district 23) and the other part is in school district 22 (farmingdale) both are good districts however dh and i were looking for a house that was sd #23
we just put in an offer on a house in the same area (considered hollywwod gardens) and saw a couple of houses on lake shore drive....... the street was too busy for us
there are a lot of homes in the area for sale though
my dh grew up there - any questions please feel free to ask!

Re: massapequa
Lake Shore Drive is also the road next to the lake on Merrick Road. It is between Merrick Road and Sunrise Highway. That is Massapequa. It is a great town.

Re: massapequa
Lake shore is definitely a busy road... i take it on my way home from the mall... i live in n mass... the area around there is confusing with stuff.. i live in n mass, have south farm water, farmingdale schools, and massapequa mailing... make sure you inquire about what area and schools you are in... some parts of massapequa are actually in amityville schools... any questions give me a buzz

Re: massapequa
I live in Massapequa Park not far from LakeShore Drive? It's right off the perserve. Houses are nice but I would check school districts because I know there is a cut off for Massapequa schools and then the kids are districted for Farmingdale. I have noticed that the houses right off the perserve have very big backyards.

Re: massapequa
There are 2 lake shores one is Blvd and one is Drive. One is North of Mass.Pk Train station and the other is betw Sunrise and Merrick which one are you referring to? Lakeshore Blvd by ther lake on Merrick is much nicer. I have lived in the area for almost 30 years and have always wanted to be on that lake-you know you can always ask me questions girlie!
