Re: Sandals Bahamas
We didn't stay at Sandals, but we were just in the Bahamas last weekend. We stayed on Paradise Island. Sandals is on the the main New Providence Island, very close to the airport and in the Cable Beach area. We passed by it on the way to our hotel but I couldn't see anything beyond the high walls and gates.
We absolutely loved Paradise Island We both preferred it over Cabo San Lucas, where we went on Honeymoon, and I would go back every year if we could. You just can't beat the travel time. We actually got back to LGA in 2.5 hours on Sunday!
We stayed at an All-Inclusive beside Atlantis. We were only there for 4 days so we didn't have much time, but we rented scooters for half a day and went around Nassau and stopped at the "Fish Fry" - a great spot for bars and restaurants between Nassau and Cable Beach area. We also went on a snorkeling trip on a Catamaran called the Flying Cloud and it was probably the best snorkeling I ever did. The trip cost $60 per person for 3.5 hours. I would highly recommend that. Also, definitely go to Atlantis to see the Dig (the aquarium). It's nice to walk around the outside market area and see the enormous yachts!
Have fun. I'm so jealous

Re: Sandals Bahamas
Yah Kate. We went there on our HM and I used to go every year was I was younger. It is my home away from home. We can't wait to get a place there one day.
Def when you get there book you dinner reservations if you plan on eating at the resort. They can book up early. You can also book your excursions at the same time.
If you like to snorkel you can rent all the equipment right from them and they also take their guests out on their boat everyday.
We loved going over to their Island. It was soo private and just beautiful. You can watch the cruise ships coming in from the distance.
Our fav restaurants were the Italian and the French. Delicious. Eat all you want and drink all you want. That is why it is soo great. It is included
I would go visit the Atlantis just to see it. I have stayed there many times and as it got bigger, I really don't like it but it is something to see.
I also rec the Dolphin Excursion which you can book as soon as you get there. Deaf worth it!!!!
If you have any ?'s just FM me
One more thing, def take advantage of the $3 bus ride into town. Great shops there (esp for jewelry) and there are some casual rest there and the Straw Market. Say no to drugs there You can also catch the ferry to Paradise Island behind the Straw Market.
Hope that helps some

Re: Sandals Bahamas
we were there a few years ago- the resort is beautiful! We really loved the pub they have there!
The beach weas decent- we spent most of our time at the pool there.
We really didnt do much around the island- We took the shuttle to the marriott where there were great casinos and took the water taxi over to atlantis for a day and walked around/gambled there!
you will have a blast!

Re: Sandals Bahamas
we had a great time def book the restaurant reservations on the day of your arrival
we loved the pub- especialy late night! we would stay until 3 am then get burgers and fries - all free!!! watch the daily itinerary - one night we were walking back to our room at 12 am and they were setting up a huge thing- turns out that night it was chocoalte night - at midnight!!!
i also had a blast at the jazz lounge and the singing piano player- depending on the crowd, if its a fun group, you will want to sing along with them
