Casey went to the vet on Saturday and..

boy do I feel like a terrible mommy Chat Icon

She is 97 lbs!!! Chat Icon She gained 14 lbs in 1 year. She is supposed to be 50-70 lbs. The vet put her on prescription food. The main reason is because she is "afraid" to walk further than our block which is why we take her to the dog park and I play with her in the yard every night. I am so afraid she will get hip dysplasia! So from now on she is on a very strict diet.

Oh and also, he had to check her anal glands Chat Icon and since then she has been walking around with her tail btwn her legs...like her hiney hurts Chat Icon Has this ever happened to anyone else's dog?

Yes. They expell the glands and then they have to get it done periodically to keep them from getting enflamed again. The groomer can also do it when the dog gets washed.Chat Icon

Our Golden tipped the scales in that range and our vet recommended feeding Bailey half dry food and half frozen string beans to trim him down (but keeping him "full" with the same amount of food).
