How does your dog get exercise in the winter?
my little girl is freezing in the 5 minutes that i take her out to go the bathroom. she does laps around my apartment, but i can't take her on long walks because she is too cold (even with a sweater on)
in the summer i take her to my parent's house often and she runs around the yard.
is there anything i can buy or do to help her get exercise indoors? she's starting to dig into the couch and i read that this behavior could be due to lack of exercise

Misty has a rubber ball that we throw and she retrieves...that and we take her for as long a walk as we can stand (us and Misty). She doesn't like being outside too much either in the ice, I think she gets cold quickly.

Gus goes to daycare-almost always once a week, but in the winter, I bump it up to two or threetime a week, so that he gets his exercise... there's a great place in ronkonkoma where he goes (the ruff house), and they have a huge indoor play room....you might want to try it....

My dogs could care less how cold it is outside...they run around like maniacs in the yard and usually carries on into the house...where they run laps around the couch

Same with ours. They love the cold. Holden can stay out for hours if I let him. Their origin is Cuban so I don't get it
