Oh, man, I wish I could take them all... this looks like an adorable, sweet dog. I hate when people give away their animals

now that I have had my little cro cat for 3 weeks- I can't imagine if I had to give him up- he is family now

ugh, I HATE hearing about this.. some pet owners need to be more responsible.....I would NEVER give Sandy away.....

I just want to say, as much as I get saddend by a dog who might become homeless & I definitely would not take out a "free to good home" ad in Craigslist, how do we know that this is not a dire situation that calls for this owner to make a tough decision?

I have, admittedly, flamed certain people for wanting to get rid of a pet, and yes, most of the time it was over something stupid, like my dog drools...but in this case what if it were a medical, financial or even the death of one of the owners?

Having had to rehome one of my beloved dogs recently, I can tell you that:

a- although I truly did everything I could to keep my dog with me, I had no other choice;
b- although I know my dog is safe & happy & completely spoiled with her new owner it haunts me everyday that she is not here;
c- I feel like a failure to her b/c I could not give her a happy life myself.

Just something to think about before we all jump to conclusions.
