Jumperoo/Exersorcer
My daughter was just 5 months last week and really does not like the exersorcer yet and just does not seem comfortable in it. I have not tried the jumperoo yet. When did everyone start using those toys? Now i am thinking she is not developing on schedule? Thanks

Re: Jumperoo/Exersorcer
My son is 14 weeks old and we bought the Jumperoo yesterday. The doctor said it was OK since he has good head/neck control. I think he really likes the jumperoo, he looks all around and stays quiet for about 1/2 hour. The only thing is he is just slightly too short for his legs to hit the ground on the lowest setting so we put some books underneath him for now for him to push off. I'm sure he will grow into it in the next couple of weeks. We got the rainforest jumperoo (fisher price) and there's a lot of things to look at, sounds and lights, etc. We will probably get the exersaucer as well at some point for my parents house when they watch him but for now we liked the jumperoo better.

Re: Jumperoo/Exersorcer
Ryan was uncomfortable in it at first (at 5 months) Because he didnt' like to hold his head up for that long of a period of time. However by putting him in it little by little he got better at it and now he LOVES it, a month later. You can prop them w/rec. blankets but it's just a whole new position their bodies have to get used to. I'm sure she's developing fine!!

Re: Jumperoo/Exersorcer
I started at five months but it took a while for her to really get into them. DD is 8 months now and loves the jumperoo and has for a few weeks. She started to enjoy the exersaucer at 5-6 months and now has less interest although she still enjoys it at times.

Re: Jumperoo/Exersorcer
I put Sydney in her exersaucer around 4 months, she had really great head and neck control and while she liked being in it... it was only for a short time and then she was over it... in the beginning we stuffed a blanket in the seat around her so she was more secure.... now she is 5 1/2 months and for the past 3 weeks or so she absolutely loves it....

Re: Jumperoo/Exersorcer
Connor was 5 months old last week too and I took out the exersaucer a couple of weeks ago. He loves it. I have the Jumperoo but I haven't even taken it out of the box. I'll be doing that this weekend. He just might not like it right now that's all. Not all kids like the same things or at the same time. Try it again in a week or so.

Re: Jumperoo/Exersorcer
My son hated the jumparoo. I also hated that it was so big and bulky!
