I opted for an inexpensive pair at first to see how I liked them and if I was going to wear them. They are from Old Navy. I wound up loving them so I went for a more expensive pair.
I bought a pair from Rock and Republic and they are awesome.

I was planning on doing the same thing- but then I found a great pair on sale at American Eagle
I would go for an inexpensive pair first- less of a risk

I caved into the skinny jeans (only for wearing them with tall boots over them!  ) and I bought an inexpensive pair at Mandee's. They serve their purpose and I don't think I'd buy another pair.
