Concerts while travelling in Europe

Has anyone gone to a concert in Europe while on vacation (or made their vacation around a concert )?

What site did you use? Did you purchase your tixx in the US or when you reached your destination?

NIN is playing in Germany when we plan on being there and I would LOVE to see this show...just not sure of the best way to go about getting tixx.

I have not done a concert but i did a sporting event - i just searched for the countries version of ticketmaster and bought from there

I haven't done concerts in Europe...but I did go to New Orleans to see Duran Duran!
I'm sure if you do a search online you can find where to get tickets in that country.

I found their ticketmaster equivelant but for some reason I'm nervous about purchasing on-line

Maybe I'll contact some acquaintances in Germany and see if they can help.

Is there a website for the concert venue? I booked tickets at The Point in Dublin and they have a link to book through Ticketmaster. I think booking online would be fine. That's what I always do here.

I would probably wait until you got there and ask the front desk/concierge at your hotel. OR, you could call the hotel and ask them to do it for you.

We went to see a concert when we went to Spain and tried to book tickets, but luckily my friend is in the band and said don't be silly I will put you on the guest list!

how funny...I just checked the NIN website and my friends band Ladytron are opening up for them in Germany! How funny!

I went to Roskilde (it's a HUGE rock concert / festival) in Denmark this past summer. They had a specific website where we could buy tickets - you could also buy them at the door for the last day only. Does the NIN nails website have any info?

I checked the NIN website really quick and was directed to a German site. I really should worry myself with actually booking the trip before getting concert tixx

I thought about having the hotel take care of it for us but I'm afraid that might be too last minute - surrounding dates are already booked.

omg it's so crazy you posted this. I would love to see Andrea Bochelli in Italy but I don't think I could with my daughter and all.

Which German website is it? Maybe I could help you.

I have ordered tickets a few times in Germany/Netherlands, but I lived there and had I had a German address so that made it easier. Could you call? Most Germans speak English and that might make it easier b/c i assume you want the tickets before you board that plane?
