Vacations ideas for 1 year anniversary???
I don't want to spend a ton of money but want to go somewhere fabulous
I am undecided between taking a cruise or a resort....
Oh and I dont want to do mexico again.
I'm leaning towards aruba maybe...

We took a cruise to Bermuda for our 1 year and loved every second of it! It is the most beautiful island we have been to.

We went back to the same place we went for our honeymoon. I say go to a resort . . .sorry- no suggestions as to where . . .

We're actually going to Mexico for our 1 year anniversary b/c we went to Aruba for our honeymoon (opposite of you!).
If you want to stay at a totally fab resort in Aruba, check out the Hyatt. We didn't stay there, but if we went back, that's where I'd want to stay.
And of course you could always check the Honeymoon board on LIW for reviews and pictures!

Aruba is great Jen! I went there for my honeymoon. Airfare can be a bit pricey though- but I'd check with Jet Blue for some deals/

we would like to do this... but it will be hard in september being that it is hurricane season so we might go at another time for our anniversary.

We went to Montreal and stayed in Old Montreal. Loved it (but I prefer European/European-type vacations to beach vcations).

Punta Cana...do the Paradisus Punta Cana or any of the 5* AI's. Travelocity has tons of deals. Check reviews on Trip Advisor before booking any place.

You should also look into Costa Rica. I went there in August 2005 and loved it. It's beautiful and not as built up and commercialized as parts of Mexico are. It was also relatively cheap.

We're going to Aruba. We booked the hotels already (we're using points) and spending a couple of days at the Hyatt and a couple of days at the Westin (we didn't have enough Hyatt points to spend all of the nights there).

What about Puerto Rico... we just got back and it was great!!!! Easy flight, amazing food, great people, not too pricey.
