Where is your favorite place to
go walking with your dog? I'd love to start taking Jersey on walks once she's all done w/ her shots (other than the neighborhood) and am looking for some suggestions. I'm in Massapequa. TIA!

Belmont Lake State Park - you can walk them on the leash (I let Scout off) on the trails in the back. Dogs are allowed in the park. I prefer this to a dog run because then I get some excercise too.
We also go to Hempstead Lake in RVC, and West Hills. I used to go to Nassau Beach but I am not sure if they let dogs on the beach there anymore.
But I go 3-5 times a week to Belmont Lake.

Thank you! Yes, I'd love a place to walk so I can get excercise too. I used to go to Belmont & Argyle all the time to walk (myself) I will definitley start going there when she's ready! Thanks. I'll have to look into West Hills.

We take Misty to Belmont, Gardiners and occasionally West Hills.
We also take her to Smith Point and/or Montauk and walk her on the beach.
Well, we walk and she runs up and down the beach a million times.

Get out! I am actually right off of the sunrise highway service road on a dead end.......I am surprised we have not seen you!
