Should I bring this to Mexico?

I purchased this dress last year at Neiman Marcus, to originally wear when we were going to have a destination wedding. I love it, and never returned it, but still have never worn it.

UPDATE:
If we decide to do a private dinner on the beach, I'll bring it.

Maybe in the future I'll see if I can get it dyed another color and shortened.

Re: Should I bring this to Mexico?

I wouldn't - I think it is way too dressy.
But it is a pretty dress!

Re: Should I bring this to Mexico?

I know to some it might seem too much, but it's not somthing I'd wear on the town or something.

I really had my heart set on a destination wedding, but we did the right thing and changed it so family/friends could be there. We took some huge expenses with the changes in wedding and travel, and a lot of tears and some regrets in doing so.

Now that we booked a place, I need to look into how much maybe a vow renewal or private beach dinner would cost us.
It's just after our 6-month wedding anniversary and that might be a nice way to get back into a honeymoon mode, sorta like we really did just get married and right into a honeymoon.

Does that make sense and explain why I'd wear something so dressy?

Yeah, you should wear it if you were doing some kind of vow renewal. But I wouldn't wear something so fancy for just a regular night out.

I'd wear it to a private dinner on the beach.

Or have pics taken of you and your DH on the beach during sunrise/sunset (if you don't mind getting it dirty)

Re: Should I bring this to Mexico?

I think it is a bit much. Very pretty dress. If it was shorter it would be fine but it long and it will be a bit much.

Photos...that's an idea to keep in mind.
I think a vow renewal will be too costly.

It's your honeymoon!!!! Do it up big. You'll always remember it, especially if you do photos like a previous poster suggested.

ITA..I think its a beautiful dress...but TOO dressy for Mexico. Unless is was shorter. Otherwise I would wear it somewhere super fancy.

Re: Should I bring this to Mexico?

hmmmm...I think it might be too fancy. If it's not a pain to pack, I would bring it just in case you guys go or do something really fancy though..
