Spinoff to HEELS
Do you really "get used to them"? I woud love to be able to wear heels but I am going in to teaching and can't imagine having them on all day. Some people say you get used to them? Did anyone here?

i was never able to walk in heels. and i still cant till this day. and i hate it!! i would loveee to wear some nice stylish boots with heels or a nice pair of sandals. i cant wear or walk in anything higher then 1.5 inches. its sad i know. and embarrassing.

i teach and wear heels all the time.
when my feet cant take it, i just switch to flats. you do def get used to it!

I prefer to wear heels actually. Especially in teaching. There's some power of the click of the heel.

yes - i do think you eventually get used to it.
i go through phases. i sometimes wear heels all the time - all day every day - and than will buy a new pair of sneakers and than want to wear them everyday. after a few weeks of being flat on your feet and than putting on heels - the first day is uncomfortable - but than i get back into the habit.

im a weekend heel girl, i teach as well adn there is no way i could wear heels to work, its flats or wedges for me at work!

I agree
I never really wore heels before teaching and then I wore heels all the time my first year and never had a problem - over the last two years I mix it up with flats more because they are in style lately

I have never been able to wear anything higher than 2.5". anything with 3" or more heels and I am in severe pain! I guess I wasn't built to walk on my toes.
