Re: Saturday's Dumb Question from a Stranger
I am almost afraid to write anything for fear of getting involved with this sudden drama, but here goes... I was the first in my group of friends and family to have children much less twins. I had a ton of support and love and still do, but early on felt very alone when it came to those moms who have been there and done that with twins or more. I am so glad that this multiples board came to be, because it is a place, like the parenting board, where we can share stories and seek advice or understanding. That is the purpose of the board the way I see it. The truth is both boards, parenting and multiples, are parenting boards, and we all earn the right to brag and share and support one another. Im sure everyone would agree that LIFamilies is a great forum for so many different topics and has been a great support network for many walks of life. I would hate to think anyone would use it as a means of hurting any one person or group be it subtly or not. My hopes for everyone on the fertility board is that we see your names on the multiples board or parenting board real soon, so we can share in your excitment with you. 1, 2, or 5 babies, we are all in this together and for the same reason. I would hate to think of this as causing tension between the two boards, and I would hope that we can put an end to all of this drama real soon.

Re: Saturday's Dumb Question from a Stranger
I see the point of my original post (regarding unnecessary comments from strangers) was more than proven by several of the posts from a "non-member" of this board (neither a parent of a multiple or someone pregnant with multipes). Thanks for validating my original point because that's all that you have achieved.
I think everything that needed to be said was said very eloquently by all of the twin mommies.
If the intention of some posters on this thread was to somehow insult me, upset me or intimidate me well, your actions in the past, present and future are futile. You might as well move on. You know nothing about me. If you did, you would know this has not affected me in the least nor could it ever. This exchange, and all other posts, don't even register when compared to other events in my life. My life's too short to spend one nano-second on meaningless attempts to instigate drama. My choice is to live more constructively and yes, celebrate every aspect of my life, including my twins who are a true blessing to myself, my DH, my friends and family... the people who actually know us.
Up until now I have ignored the drama but now I see that such posters feel the need to come into a very positive and supportive forum, attempt to interject their unnecessary and judgemental comments and upset the small intimate community of multiples on LIF. Such comments are not welcomed by the consensus (and I repeat, those who are actually parenting or who are pregnant with multiples). If you do not like what we say on this board about our own shared personal reality, don't read it. It's not meant for you anyway.
Now let's return this board to the healthy, supportive, non-judgemental atmosphere it once was and will be again. Anyone who doesn't think they can do that, please take your comments to another board.

Re: Saturday's Dumb Question from a Stranger
You know Theresa, you may be right. But without carrying on with the drama I think it is fair to say some people feel like you have forgotten where you came from. Maybe this was not the right place for it to come out- but I think it was just sort of a straw on the camels back.
You have been BLESSED, big time!!! You and the other twin mommies are amongst the very luckiest people on these boards. I would give away so many of the things that I have for a taste of that.
So from my eyes, after this fight that I am having people could stop me, ask me anything, feel me I wouldnt care. And if I didnt want to go into it when I was PG I just wouldnt tel them. Who cares if they think I am the size of a house. But that is not the point of my reply.
Again, this was not the right forum to make a point, and it is sad that other twin mommies felt involved. But from someone who supported you on your IF journey and is now left behind.... please (not just in this thread) dont forget where you came from. There are alot of wounded soldiers left behind.
Good luck to you!
Maybe one day I will be lucky to get PG again, or even luckier... to be able to enjoy this board.
To ALL of the twin mommies. YOu and your babies are amazing

Re: Saturday's Dumb Question from a Stranger
Whether you have points or not, I really don't think it needs to be publicly said. If anyone has problems with the OP than I think thats what FM is for. We all understand the struggle with IF and I think we all sympathize with the ladies there and pray for them. I know I do. I just don't think this was the way to go about it, thats all.

I have no problem sending my comments directly to the original poster - I'll delete my post

I see your point, but for the record many have tried through FM also.
Thank you for your prayers!

Regardless of who these comments are directed to, they are offensive me and many of the twin moms on here. Twins are a true blessing - it matters not if they are b/b, g/g, b/g, identical/fraternal, products of IVF or family history - and it certainly doesn't matter whether or not one type is more common than another. Each day dozens of people on parenting brag about their babies and other children. Do we take offense? Of course not b/c we are all parents and are all entitled to brag or share stories about our children. If you are not interested/put off/offended by stories (or what might be taken as bragging) there's an easy solution - don't read the posts.
