Anyone been on the Imagination with Carnival?
This is the cruise ship we are going on in May. We are excited to go but interested in whether or not anyone has any info good or bad for us about the ship. How does the tipping work? Can it be paid in advance at booking? tia

I'v ebeen on carnival 2 times. And only because I got a great price after 9/11 and the other I won.
The found the drinks to be so expensive. Tipping is added at the end. You can tip specific people during the trip though. I also did not like cruises because you are limited to do excusions $$, once you get to ports. Unless you don't mind staying on the ship. Or at least I had that problem at the places traveled to.

Re: Anyone been on the Imagination with Carnival?
Our first cruise was on the Imagination. It is an older and smaller ship but one that we probably had the most fun on! The tipping actually gets charged to you immediately. I believe if you want to change it you have to go to the desk. We have never done that. The only one that you are expected to tip in cash is the Maitre'd in the restaurant. I think we have done this once. Most times we never met the maitre'd until he came to to the table looking for the tip. We almost always left an extra and hefty tip for our waiters/waitresses and bar waitress. If you have any other questions please feel free to ask or FM! You'll have a blast!

Re: Anyone been on the Imagination with Carnival?
I have only been on one other cruise and it was with Royal Caribbean and hated it. The boat was horrible not what I imagined at all. My family cruises all the time and they were extremely disappointed. We have such a large family ourselves though that when it comes to vaction we are always looking for the best for our money and this time a cruise seemed to be it. We love disney but the kids are tired of doing the same thing every year. For the 6 of us to fly anywhere too is crazy $$ wise.
