Re: Blood Pressure dropping/blacking out?
Yes, it can happen. Just take your time when you get up from a sitting position, sit down when you can, etc...

Yes. It happened to me too. Don't be afraid to tell people around you that you're pregnant. That way you can get a seat.

Re: Blood Pressure dropping/blacking out?
I know how you feel. I almost passed out at my 36 wk. growth sono this morning b/c I was laying on my back and apparently the baby was laying on an artery. Apparently the baby laying on that vein causes your blood pressure to drop which makes you feel like you are going to pass out. I still feel kind of shaken from it and feel like I have a headache. I asked the nurse and she said it was ok, it actually happens frequently during pregnancy.
I would trust your dr. If you dr. was really concerned he would have had you come in immediately. Dizziness is a side effect of pregnancy to begin with plus you standing on the subway with the chaos only makes it worse. Is there any way you can leave work early and come home and relax?

Re: Blood Pressure dropping/blacking out?
It can definitely happen, especially in the early weeks. You have hormone surges and also heart/blood surges at random times. Especially if you are standing or on a moving train they can feel like the worst thing on earth. Definitely try to get a seat or if you cannot make sure you stand with your legs slightly bent.
Always carry water with you as well & drink something if you feel flush or faint.
