PSA: "Skinny" Jeans

I went to Bendels over the weekend with my BF (who is my personal fashion consultant). Since I, like many of us ladies, have curvy hips and thighs, never thought that I could wear "skinny" jeans.

But alas, BF brought me over to the J-Brand selection and a J-Brand consultant happened to be there. He said that us curvier girls should get a narrow straight leg and only in a dark wash to achieve the desired skiiny jean effect. Because the J-Brands had a decent amount of elasticity, they were super comfortable and very flattering. I was shocked!

I went out that night in them and received so many compliments - they were actually more slimming than my usual flared jeans. HTH!

Size-wise, they run normal (if not slightly big because of the elasticity - i.e. I'm usually a 29 and the 29's fit perfectly).

Price-wise, a little steep, but not the worst I've seen - they were $158. However, Bendel's has some good sales from time to time.

Express skinny jeans come in a very dark wash and have good amount of stretch. They are $59. I bought a pair this weekend and was surprised how much I loved them. They sound similar to the jeans you are describing - just another option!

I never heard of that brand... I will definitely check them out. Always good to know a new jean brand to try!
