"you never know"
Just putting it out there that I'm looking for a guidance counseling job preferably in Nassau, Suffolk, Queens, Bklyn, NYC (in that order). 
I know that a lot of you girls have gotten jobs from hearing about the position from someone you know, so I figured I'd put it on here because "you never know"

They are looking for a guidance chairperson in my school. I think that you have to have at least 5 years experience as a counselor, though.

I wish I could say we had an opening in my district but guidance has been slashed and slashed in the ten years since I've been there. We no longer have a director and we are down to 3.5 positions from 4 plus one FT director.
We had to excise a very talented/experienced guidance counselor (7 years experience) three years ago in our high school and promote someone from the middle school. UGH the schedule was a mess that semester. I'm still not sure if the counselor that was excised found another job
I hope all of you find jobs soon
