Curses you book club members!
I picked up the Thirteenth Tale and now am completely immersed in the book! I had debating coming tonight but the sleigh riding interfered with my finishing the book so I had to bail.
Anyway - excellent suggestion! Thank you, thank you!
Does anyone keep a list of the books that were previously selected? I'd love to pick up a few more options.

I'm going to try and remember with the general consensus...
Dinner with Anna Karenina by Gloria Goldriech - good
Pull Me Up by Dan Barry - not so good
The Sun Also Rises by Ernest Hemingway - good, but a tough read
Gracelin O'Malley by Ann Moore - AWESOME!!!
Gold Coast by Nelson DeMille - Good, although not as good as we remembered
Dry by Augusten Burroughs - Good
Love in the Time of Cholera by Gabriel Garcia Marquez - Tough
Snow Flower and the Secret Fan - Good
Enriques Journey - Good
And of course - The thirteenth tale....
Wow!! I can't believe how many books we read...
Oh yeah, BTW - Another great meeting!!! I love, love, love meeting up with all you ladies each month!!!

Sorry I missed it, ladies. I am not sure I will make next month either. March is going to be a crazy month for me. I will be finishing 13th Tale within a few days, though. I'm not in love with it but it was a pretty good choice!

I have to say I was disappointed in the ending of the Thirteenth Tale. It was too Scooby Doo where everything gets resolved in the end.

It's funny you say that cuz we all felt the same way. Good, good story but a very cookie cutter ending.

Was anyone not crazy about this book? It was so well written but the story is not grabbing me. I am still not finished and I am wondering if I should finish.

Just finished reading Love is Mixed Tape. Handing it off to a friend who would like it but if anyone needs it for a quick read before...um...whenever the next book club is...they can borrow it.
