Will we need to rent a car in Dublin?

We are spending our last 5 nights in Dublin and flying home from Dublin.

I am hoping we won't need a car, that everything is within walking distance or we can use public transportation.

By the way, we booked the Schoolhouse Hotel from June 1 - June 6 in Dublin.

If you plan on staying in Dublin you don't need a car. We didn't have a car, we just walked the entire time.

You won't need a car if you are staying at the Schoolhouse Hotel. It's on the corner of Lower Mount Street and Grand Canal Quay which is very local. You can walk to Grafton Street and Trinity College area in 10 to 15 mins.

The DART station is close at Westmoreland Street and that's a great way to get to the suburbs of Dublin City. The bus service is also excellent around the whole county and there is a bus stop right outside the hotel. So, once your staying within Dublin, you won't need a car.

No car, unless you want to take trips outside the city. Have fun!
