i had a bad night last night.
even after 11 years of moms passing, i sat on my couch last night hysterically crying for one hour straight. my kids were sleeping, my husband was at work and i wanted to pick up the phone so bad and talk to my mom. you would think 11 years later i would have come to terms with my moms passing by now. but i havent.

My mom is gone just under 8 years and it hasent gotten any easier. In fact I think it's worse sometimes.

I totally agree... it's been 4 1/2 years for me and not a day passes that I don't wish she was here or at least just a phone call away. Hope you're feeling better

Granted, I'm about 5 1/2 years behind you, but I don't think we ever come to terms with it entirely. I burst into tears unexpectedly all the time, out of nowhere, and the timing usually doesn't make sense. It's okay to cry and be sad, we're all here for you.

I don't think we can ever be expected to come to term with it to the point where it does not affect us profoundly. I still wish I could pick up the phone or go to my mom's house to see her. And after 5 years, I miss her more, not less. I'm so sorry for your loss. Please FM me if you ever need to talk.
